My name is Chandni Arora, and I love that it means moonlight (in Hindi). If you're wondering how to say it, it's pronounced exactly the way it's spelt - Chandni.
I am a coffee-drinking, fun-loving mum of 2 kids in junior school, and a fur baby. I love to celebrate everything as I believe life is too short not to. I love buying and receiving gifts all the same. I don’t enjoy cooking much, but I do love to eat and experiment with new cuisines and foods. If there’s a new local restaurant and a babysitter available, you'll find me there trying it out. So, if you have any great recommendations for local restaurants (new or old) at the Sunshine Coast, send them my way.
Other than being a mum and a foodie, I am also a life coach specialising in career, clarity and confidence coaching with over 19 years of experience in HR and the financial industry. I support mum with kids in junior school find careers that light them up. I gained my coaching qualifications through the Beautiful You Coaching Academy. I have held varying roles during my career ranging from learning and development to leadership and project management. You can find my more impressive corporate bio on LinkedIn.
In my coaching practice, I am here to help you gain the career clarity you are looking for and support with boosting your confidence. As stated by Maya Angelou, I believe “success is liking yourself, liking what you do and liking how you do it”. I absolutely love what I do, and I want you to experience that too.
I believe you need to work harder on yourself than on your career as investing in your self-growth and development will always pay off in more ways than one. Investing in yourself will make you happier and you will find a career you are passionate about, one that is more aligned to your purpose and values. If you are happy and content, this in turn benefits your family and especially your kids as they come home to a more fun, calm, present and healthy mum. Not only that, but I also believe your passion will shine through when you invest in yourself, which then gives your kids permission to follow their dreams too.
I believe I am here to remind you that you can follow your dreams to make the career and life change you are so longing for. I am here to let you know you will not have to do this alone. I will be there right beside you, cheering you on and celebrating your every win, big or small. I’m here to make you feel the most confident you have ever felt. I am here to guide you to create strategies that you can use for the rest of your life.
I was born in India and moved to Australia to study in university when I was 18. Living on a college campus with 100’s of other national and international students was a perfect way to integrate myself into the Australian way of life while still having people I could culturally relate to. I was very privileged to have this perfect mix of cultures when I moved here. YES, I pronounced words differently and still do to this date. I have also changed the way I say a few words so I could be more easily understood.
Most Australians find my name hard to pronounce. If you’re wondering how to pronounce it, it’s literally pronounced exactly how it’s spelt – Chandni. I have heard so many different versions of it over the years but by far the funniest was being called Champagne all day.
I know what it’s like to call two countries home, to sometimes feel awkward and out of place. I know what it feels like to want to go home to India but then also want to come home to Australia. My heart belongs to two lands, and it always will. I have people I love on both lands, who I long to see and connect with. I also feel very lucky and blessed to be accepted and loved by people on both these lands.
I am married to an Australian, and I always go for India in an India vs Australia cricket match (even though I’m not a huge follower of the sport) which triggers my husband a bit. I think it’s good to have a bit of fun competition in a relationship.
In Australia, I now call the Sunshine Coast home.
I am a strong believer in diversity, equality and inclusion. I will always strive to ensure I create an equitable and inclusive coaching practice where of all colours, races and backgrounds feel safe, secure and vulnerable to be who they are and act on their deepest desires to live a life they truly love, irrespective of how old and able they are, who they love, where they come from, how they dress or who they pray to.
I whole heartedly believe that community, trust, connection and collaboration are the key to living a happy soulful life.
Drawn to work with me and explore my coaching series?
When I started working with Chandni I felt helpless and lost regarding my direction and purpose in life. Through her coaching methods as well as by being her authentic self, Chandni helped me significantly change my mindset and attitude. She was always emphasising I need to be thinking about what I want for myself and not what others wanted for me during our sessions. This attitude has transferred into my general day-to-day as well. At this point in my life, I feel like I have the tools to continue setting goals for myself with a greater understanding of how to tackle them. In moments of self-doubt, Chandni's excitement around my journey and achievements, no matter how big or small, really motivated me and re-affirmed why I chose to work with a coach. I found myself always talking about my coaching journey and discussions I had with Chandni to my friends when asked about how I was doing and my plans for the near future. I am really grateful to have been able to have this experience with Chandni and will always remember the significant impact she has had on me.
I couldn’t recommend Chandni more highly as a life coach. Chandni has so many gifts to share and such passion to share them with those seeking support to realise their dreams.
As a deep listener with immense compassion and with no judgment, she took the time to really get to know me, to understand where I was at in life and what my dreams and aspirations were. Through her calm, gentle and supportive guidance she held space so I was able to listen to my heart, remember my power and have a touch stone to keep me on track to realising my dreams.
My life has transformed in so many positive ways thanks to my sessions with Chandni.
I am so grateful she is sharing her wisdom with the world.
When I started my coaching series with Chandni I was in a constant rut. I felt like I was letting go of my career opportunities. I felt disorganised and was putting the need of others before those of me and my family.
Chandni was so helpful in assisting me to confidently say no to things that do not serve me which ensures my family is put first. I no longer have any guilt or feel like I'm letting people down when I say 'no' to things I know I am going to resent saying 'yes' to later. I am a much calmer person for it which has made my everyday life and achieving daily goals so much easier.
Chandni helped me realise that my previous profession is no longer for me, as it no longer aligns with my values anymore. I am so excited that I have identified a career choice I am truly passionate about and I cannot wait to see what the future will hold. I am so thankful to Chandni and everything she has helped me achieve.
When I first met Chandni, I was feeling stuck, lost and defeated. I felt like a hamster frantically running in a hamster wheel, running my little legs off, but getting nowhere. I was exhausted.
Chandni helped me to understand on a deeper level what was driving my despair and uncover some really juicy goal statements to motivate me to move myself forward and upward. Since working with Chandni, I have a different perspective on my work, my relationships and my future. I am clearer on who I am, where I'm going and what I want to be doing. I feel unshackled and ready to take the next steps forward.
Chandni so lovingly and with so much care encouraged and empowered me towards this inspired action - I wouldn't have been able to see a way forward if not for her. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
When I started working with Chandni I needed some clarity on what I wanted to do with my career. I lacked the confidence to apply for a role in a different industry. I was essentially on the road to building myself back up after my divorce and needed to practice more self-love as well. Having not worked with a coach before, I was curious, excited and engaged as I went into my first coaching session. On completing this wonderful coaching program with Chandni I had more belief in myself and was able to see all the career opportunities available to me. I even applied for a role in a different career. I put a good self-care routine in place, and I went from not exercising at all and eating poorly, to exercising a few days a week and incorporating healthier eating habits during my day all while practicing more self-love. My friends and loved ones have noticed I am happier and more confident since I started coaching. I am thankful for Chandni’s fabulous coaching series as it has added a lot of value to my life.
